Combo welder can use multiple welding techniques to construct, maintain, and repair metals. Everything was all TIG and sometimes stick weld done too.
- Welding with Flux cored arc welding, Gas metal arc welding, Gas tungsten arc welding, and Shielded metal arc welding
- Passed welding test 2-inch monster coupon
- Reading blueprints, prepare materials, make precise measurements, and weld components in all position in a variety of space constraints
- Welding stainless, chrome P91 and carbon steel on this project
- The stainless and chrome pipes were always purged
- Did a lot of repairs after a lot of young welders that came out of welding school
- Welded on different sizes of pipes from 1 inch to 36 inch
- Helping the supervisor how to read blueprints that they didn't understand
- Did a lot of pipe supports
Combo Shipyard Welder - Sound Resource Group (SRG)

- Working on destroyers, carrier, and subs
- Did weld test 6gr pipe copper nickel, super duplex stainless, and carbon steel
- Structural plate test with a ceramic backing strip on vert, horz, and overhead position
- Bull rigging pipes in because there were no riggers
- Targeting pipes in the pipe shop
- Navsea test to get on navy ships
- Open root TIG pipe and capped it out with stick (7018)
Combo Rig Welder - Great Basin Industrial (GBI)

On this project used own welding rig truck and tools. Everything was purged because it was all stainless pipe.
- Maintained own welding machine and made sure everything was up on maintenance
- Worked and welding on Stainless pipes for a bio diesel plant
- Did own fitting pipes and got it inspected before welding on it
- Weld tested a 2-inch monster coupon pipe
- After the pipes were done, jumped on dual shield welding on a storge tank
- Finished out with welding sub arc on the horizontal seams of the tank
