Propulsion Intern - Asteroid Mining Corporation

• Developed requirements and validated the simulation test cases before submission of final report to CEO.
• Successfully produced a 57-page technical report on 'a Proposal for Spacecraft to Assess Mining Techniques at Near Earth Asteroid' working in a team of 9.
• Constructed primary and secondary mission requirements for the propulsion team from which multiple propulsion design iterations were created.
• Designed, modelled, and simulated several satellite trajectories, based on different propulsion designs, through STK & MATLAB to best suit mission requirements.
• Risk analysis on the designs conducted using industry-based propulsion system tests and a trade-off study was utilized to choose the most reliable design.

Project Management Intern - Airbus UK Ltd

• Successfully delivered multiple (10+) projects that decreased various disruptions faced by the production team alongside a Multi-Functional Team. Most recent projects dealt with reducing the number of concessions on a wing, but overall every aspect of the business was regarded when analyzing the project.
• In-charge of controlling and reporting the daily financial outputs (specifically the Non-Payroll Overhead) of Step Change to the head of business (HOB), ensuring that weekly, monthly and yearly targets are met.
• Over the course of the year, facilitated orders for the business more than 2.0 million euros which included robot improvement(s) and improved electric drilling equipment, successfully reduced the takt time, increased shop floor productivity and decreased process waste.
• Worked with AutoCAD to design and 3-D print various tools used in production such as monocle protection and MLG bush protectors, providing quick, testable, and cost-effective prototypes.

Research Assistant to Dr. Anton de Ruiter - Toronto Metropolitan University

• Graduate research on feasibility of experiments on air-bearing testbed using a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) unit.
• Modeled dynamics of two spacecraft in a planar setting and developed controller using a control law (LQR).
• Implemented FPGA code to control 4 simultaneous thrusters which moves the spacecraft on the testbed. Further developments using an image detection algorithm interfaced with the Cyclone V FPGA is ongoing.
• Taking part in the Canadian Space Agency sponsored Canada CubeSat Project: ESSENCE on the ADCS team.
