I am a second-year speech-language pathology graduate clinician and student at Ball State University. At this point in time, I am beginning the process of searching for a clinical fellowship, as I graduate in July of 2023. I am choosing to enter the field of speech-language pathology to improve the quality life of others, and to advocate for the wants and needs of people with communication disorders.
One of my greatest strengths is flexibility, as I can tailor therapy sessions to fit clients' unique, individual needs. I also have the ability to effectively communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds in order to build meaningful relationships with clients and their families, and to establish an effective treatment plan. Using these strengths, I plan to work towards fulfilling my goals of becoming a Board Certified Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (BCS-S) and working in the medical setting (hospital or rehabilitation facility).
