I led the biotech partnering & data unit, responsible for product management/ development, sales, marketing, finance, customer service, editorial, and India outsourcing. I commercialized BIO’s partnering system, integrated with Cortellis, to numerous other conference providers including LSX, Advanced Therapies Week, and Biocom. I also led the data integration and AI initiatives that took intelligence from the partnering system and integrated it into Inpart’s BD CRM to provide fast access to competitive intelligence in the pharma BD workflow.
I managed a team of 10.
BIO 2022 Management Consultant, Marketing
Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), Washington, D.C. Q1 2022 – Q3 2022
With BIO’s former marketing team of 13 made redundant and 2 new hires experienced in neither biotech nor event marketing, BIO management worried BIO 2022, one of the first major ‘post-Covid’ in-person events, would underperform. I was asked to lead marketing for the event based on my previous history at BIO.
Executive Vice President & Co-founder
Prism Science (now part of Cellix Bio), New York, NY Q3 2019 – Q1 2022
Prism Science, now merged with Cellix Bio, provided intelligence to large pharma R&D, medical affairs and pharmacovigilance. Additionally, it provided advertising solutions to large pharma commercial.
I functioned as a COO, leading all functions except sales and finance.
Science gathered a tremendous amount of biomedical intelligence, indexed it to leading ontologies, curated it both manually and via machine learning, and commercialized it as SaaS offerings and services. Information was gathered annually from 50+ citation indexes, 10K+ biomedical conferences, 300+ grant databases, 40+ clinical trial registries and 15+ pre-print servers. Patents were licensed from IFI Claims.
Science was on the path to provide the largest database of biomedical research output in existence, surpassing Embase, WoS and others. Content was productized as a search engine, a pipeline database, a KOL identification and profiling solution, and a ML-powered literature monitoring solution. Content was also leveraged to do bespoke medical affairs projects on share of voice. Finally, content was productized as a differentiated physician newsletter, supported by drug advertising.

I also led consulting and product implementation/integration engagements with large pharma clients including engagements on which KOLs, journals and medical meetings to choose in order to disseminate core messages, what core messages to lead with based on analysis of RWE and existing research trends, and how to integrate with the CRMs used by MSLs to optimize medical comms.
