My passion, determination, and dedication to bioengineering began in 2009 when my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. While the journey to recovery was challenging, I was fascinated by how the healthcare system had integrated technology in the treatment and care process, and its roles in diagnosis and detection.

My strong desire to learn how to solve real-world challenges to advance the healthcare sector is what propels me to my education at Northeastern. Here, I have access to more resources than I could ever imagine as a kid.

I'm highly driven towards Medical Imaging, and the Design of Implants. I enjoy using Image Processing techniques and Machine Learning to help detect tumors. Also, every week, I try to learn something new about Cancer. Apart from this, I design websites and chatbots.

So, I intend to broaden my horizon of present-day engineering, and become familiar with recent technological advancements to prepare myself for the roles in identifying unmet clinical diagnostics and healthcare needs.

Research and Development Intern- Teleflex Medical OEM

• Redesigned the labels for over 500+ suture samples to distinguish materials reducing classification time
• Analyzed data on the physical properties of suture over a range of materials and sizes to summarize Teleflex’s portfolio and created graphical representations for investor pitch deck
• Performed capability and statistical analysis on monofilament and braided sutures to assess the marketability of each product for different surgical procedures
• Fabricated a soft tissue suture anchor to reduce post-surgery recovery period and shipped over 20 samples to a client
