I was an Inside Sales Manager for a lighting manufacturer for 16 and half years, ending May 31st due to out of state remote status. My company decided to move to hybrid working and we had a separation.
I managed a team of (4) account managers. I balanced my team and individual responsibilities objectively and with an openness to others. I was a leader to my account managers’, providing my team with my best leadership and mentoring.
I helped manage with my team over 30 US and Canada lighting agencies; generating revenue growth of over $60+ million in annual sales.
I was responsible for the Northeast territory, working with my assigned Boston, MA lighting agency on lighting projects. I helped generate $16+ million annual revenue in the Northeast.
I conducted quarterly and annual performance reviews. I had bi-monthly one-on-one meetings with my employees as well as group meetings.
I provided excellent customer facing and customer service to our customers and sales agencies. I am excellent at managing difficult or emotional customer situations. I respond promptly to our customer needs, solicit customer situations internally to improve service. I respond to requests for service and customer assistance to meet commitments.
I provided consultative selling to qualify potential customers. I worked on building strong rapport and establishing trust. I presented solutions that meet customer objectives, managing and documenting sales processes.

I have managed multiple lighting agencies throughout my tenure. I work directly with various customers, i.e. architects, Specifiers, engineering firms, distributors and end users, addressing product questions, providing timely quotations and daily sales order entry.
I worked closely with various internal departments providing effective oral and written communication skills. Working across multiple groups within my company including working Finance, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Production.
I can evaluate electrical drawings, plans and design layouts for quotation purposes. I am able to cross other manufacturers’ products; read and understand blueprint terminology, controls and LED drivers, project specifications, and construction and/or architect documents. I have provided “take-offs” from provided E drawings, utilizing Blue Beam Software for evaluation of projects.
I have strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude.
