As an educator I am passionate about the content I am developing and delivering. I realize the importance of building and fostering strong continuous communication for thriving collaborative partnerships in cross-functional inclusive environments. Growing up in a bilingual home, I understand the language acquisition process and the cultural identity that each learner develops that drives their initiative on their education journey.
I have interacted with students from diverse socio-economic, language, and ethnic backgrounds. My goal is to support and motivate learners to take ownership of their learning, and achieve their academic and personal goals.
My previous years of experience include working as a classroom teacher and TBE/TPI Resource Specialist in Chicago Public Schools as well as an ESL and reading interventionist in Pinellas County Schools across multiple elementary grade levels. I use differentiated instruction and communication to ensure that all learners had various opportunities to excel to their fullest capabilities.
I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education in 2011. I hold a valid teaching certificate with multiple endorsements in both the states of Illinois and Florida. I have recently completed my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Western Governors University in 2022
