Conducted business proposal work involving preparation of solicited and unsolicited business proposals, quotations, and responses to RFIs, RFQs and RFPs. • Act as proposal team leader and/or writer for competitive proposals
• Support other teams in proposal preparation
• Ensure that response teams and/or members develop project work plans, detailed activities, schedules to ensure schedules and deadlines are maintained
• Work collaboratively with other company staffers throughout the organization, as needed to gain needed support
• Coordinate with Accounting/Finance staff to develop budgets and facilitate discussions around cost/price issues
• Review work products coming from other staffers for inclusion in proposals for adherence to solicitation requirements
• Facilitate best and final offer negotiations, this may include negotiation of terms and conditions of government awards, and revisions to proposals, budgets and budget narratives
• Develop appropriate capability statements for proposals
• Facilitate discussions (debriefings) with clients to help us learn what we could have done better/different if our proposal/bid was not the winner
• Develop standard tools to enhance capacity to successfully bid on competitive solicitations
• Possess skills to develop, prepare, re-write, revise any common proposal work product such as SOWs, bills-of-material, procurement specifications, work breakdown structures, job costing breakouts, material and/or equipment quotes, personnel biographies, technical explanations, inspection/test plans, project plans & timelines, etc.
