Susan Burge

Hello!

I've been a classroom teacher for six years. Prior to teaching, I worked in camp and outdoor recreation. I have a fondness for creating meaningful and hands-on trainings/educational opportunities for people of ALL ages. I especially enjoy the puzzle that comes with accommodating diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles.

Education

My M.Ed. is in Early Childhood Education with an emphasis in Montessori pedagogy. My research project included developing, testing, and improving curriculum on fire safety for students aged 3-5 years old.

My B.S. is in Recreation Management. My internship was focused on risk management policy review, Youth Program Quality (YPQA) review, and camp and outdoor.
