Susan Lawens

I have varied work experience, worked in an office, retail/customer service, light industrial work, and have worked in a restaurant/convention center for the last 7 years.

Decades working for a temporary service has given me varied work experience, from customer service to office work to light industrial work. For the last 7 years I have worked at the Lansing Center, doing food prep work and washing dishes and custodian duties and more. In the last 7 years I have also worked in a Korean restaurant, a deli, and in a pub, mostly doing dishes, but also whatever else was needed.

I also worked in a bingo hall, cashiering, bussing tables, washing dishes, some food prep and serving. And my most recent job besides the Lansing Center was at Panera Bread, preparing sandwiches and salads. I love working with food, it is what I want to do.

I have an associates in computer graphics from Lansing Community College. And I do have some work experience with that, co-owning a website and a gift basket business for people with special diet needs. I was the webmaster for that, and did all the graphics. While I very much enjoy doing anything related to art or graphics, I found that I prefer drawing and creating art for fun, not profit.
