I am enclosing this cover letter along with my CV and references. I am very interested in your position as a hospice nurse practitioner. As you can see, I have a vast amount of experience with Adult Psychiatry in various settings and states.
I am known to be a great multitasker, and once called a “workhorse”. I am now wearing two hats as I have recently obtained a certification in Palliative and End-of-Life Care from Ohio State University. My psychiatric experience has given me many opportunities to consult with hospice while caring for the geriatric population.
My volunteer experience in hospice and palliative care has been an invaluable aid in my pursuit of my recent certification. I have been asked many times in the past questions concerning family members and friends about hospice and palliative care. I have been at the bedside of many in their last days to assist with questions about medication concerns and the death experience.
