Sydney Gallas is a costume designer with over 15 years of experience, specializing in creating costumes that support and empower actors.

Sydney’s recent Broadway credits include Assistant Costume Designer at &Juliet, Days of Wine and Roses, K-POP, and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

She has designed costumes for productions at NYU, such as Legally Blonde, As You Like It, and Circle Mirror Transformation, with an emphasis on helping young actors use their costumes to fully embody their roles.

Additionally, Sydney has served as a Fabric & Materials Sourcing Specialist for the Madonna Celebration Tour sourcing fabric and materials for custom performance looks. She provides similar ongoing services to prop design duo More Good Productions, sourcing upholstery and other fabrics for custom props for over a dozen Broadway shows.

Sydney’s dedication to education is matched by her passion for innovation and storytelling. She brings an optimistic, collaborative spirit to every project, whether mentoring students, creating dynamic designs for live productions, or managing large-scale creative teams. Her ability to bridge artistic vision with technical execution makes her an asset to both educational and professional environments.

Sydney holds an MFA in Costume Design from Yale School of Drama and a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
