I hold a Bachelor of Science in Conservation Biology from the University of Washington and am an alumna of the Smithsonian-Mason School of Conservation. My experience includes an internship with the REEF Environmental Education Foundation, where I honed my skills in environmental education. Currently, I am interning with A Rocha USA and the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies, engaging fifth-grade students in experiential learning and collaborating with Houses of Worship to inspire conservation efforts within local communities.
I am passionate about fostering environmental stewardship and empowering others to make a positive impact on our ecosystems.
In 2023, I completed a semester-long internship with the REEF Environmental Education Foundation. During this experience, I developed a strong passion for bridging the gap between scientific research and public education, engaging a diverse audience that included students from primary school to senior citizens.
Currently, I am part of a joint internship between A Rocha USA and the Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies. In my role as a Church and Conservation Community Intern, I facilitate experiential learning programs for fifth-grade students, fostering hands-on scientific inquiry and encouraging them to explore and discover their natural surroundings. Additionally, I have had the privilege of partnering with local Houses of Worship, where I demonstrate how community members can actively participate in conservation efforts by integrating native plant species into their landscapes.
