Reading Specialist and Public Health Educator

I have served and worked at a K-8 charter school for 12 years. The last 2 years, I have had the opportunity to teach small groups (1-6) reading and math. I am currently working on my masters in Reading and Literacy and in the process of finishing my LETRS training.
I have taught community classes in health and wellness as well as in CPR and First Aid for the past 30 years. I love teaching children to read and love to watch how they light up when they understand how to say a word and what that word means. I have experience in working with the UFLI program (University of Florida Literacy Institute) and have used it in my teaching for the past 2 years.
