- Worked alongside state, local and federal law enforcement during complex conspiracy investigations.
- Acted as a conduit for relaying important information to law enforcement during live wire and electronic communications. This information included illegal drug trafficking offenses related to drugs, guns, and/or humans.
- Provided law enforcement with interpretation assistance during numerous interviews following arrests of investigative criminal targets.
- Transcribed, translated, and interpret thousands of audio and written communications such as wiretaps, jail calls and/or other recorded communications from Spanish to English, providing reliable, accurate summaries of intercepted communications to law enforcement.
- Collected, compiled and processed intelligence information through a number of computerized spreadsheets for delivery to law enforcement.
- Worked directly with the law enforcement regarding performance matters and issues arising from day-to-day operations; ensured quality control issues or concerns were addressed and brought to the attention of the individuals who produced or reviewed the work.
- Managed all the relevant records of work production, evidence of control and other administrative records, and ensured their proper completion and maintenance on a daily basis, to include: Investigative Synopses, Daily Briefings, Target Phone/Pertinent Call Number Lists, Organizational charts, Statistical Reports, Code word banks, Case voice library, Transcripts lists and Target folders for assistance with prosecution. All of these tasks were completed through a law enforcement database in which
- Trained and guided new personnel when necessary on all aspects of Analytical Linguist-related Title-III operations as well as Conduit/MVM/Metlang and DEA policies and procedures.
- Quality control findings: Reviewed linguist's summaries and checked for accuracy of content, spelling and grammar. Revised linguist's transcripts to ensure they were written verbatim. Checked for accuracy on accents and punctuation in Spanish and accuracy in translation from Spanish to English.
- Conducted mentoring/coaching sessions with linguists by training, reviewing, providing feedback and offering exercises or reading materials in order to improve their job performance.
- Conducted bi-annual Employee Progress Reports.
- Requested PIV Card Sponsorship from the Division Security Officer for new hires.
- Maintained log of all employees worked hours and leave request in company shared drive.
- Responsible for approving Leave Request for employees under my supervision.
- Produced, revised, posted and distributed weekly schedules to all subordinates assigned to the project.
- Prepared reports, correspondence and other written materials with established regulations and guidelines regarding wiretap activity and submitted to director of operations.
- Interfaced with director of operations to facilitate discussions of operation as well as financial needs and staffing levels based on anticipated activity in preparation of project funding before funding was requested from DEA's SOD.
- Ensured Task Orders were received as well as executed before staffing a case assignment.
- Reviewed and corrected personnel timesheets and Timekeeper timecards for accuracy before submitting to payroll.
- Accessed software programs such as 4-Sight JSI, Voice Box, Pen-link and Coolminer.
