I'm a highly energetic, responsible, and motivated high school social studies teacher.
I've taught high school social studies for the last nine years, designing curriculum and assessment strategies for the following courses: U.S. History, World History (including AP), Utah Studies, Psychology (including CE Psych 1010), Financial Literacy, Economics, Computer Technology, Health, & Government
I have extensive experience creating content for online courses, creating complete online courses and content for students to complete remotely. I am pursuing a certification in Instructional Design and have experience with Canvas (LMS), Adobe, Articulate Rise / Storyline, and a variety of other applications that I've used in my classroom over the last nine years.
I am always looking for new and innovative teaching strategies to implement in my classroom. I'm a follower of the ‘Modern Classroom’ and the PCBL model of giving students more voice and choice in how and what they learn.
I'm looking for opportunities to grow outside of the classroom.
I have created both formal and informal assessments, aligned lessons with state standards, and implemented a variety of teaching standards to a variety of students in my classroom.
On average, I've taught 4 different subjects each year I've been teaching and I've designed curriculum for all of those.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Southern Utah University with a Bachelor's of Art in History Education. After student teaching, I received my Social Studies Composite Certification to teach all social studies subjects.
