Hello, my name is Tate. I am 40 years old and bring 25 years of experience as a third-generation machinist. I currently serve as Shop Foreman, where I oversee operations, maintain production standards, training and support the development of our team.
In summary, I have traveled across the United States gaining hands-on experience in a wide range of industries and machining environments. I began as a manual machinist and progressed to engineering and operating one of the first 1897 Andre Bechler screw cam lathes. From there, I was trained extensively by my father in hand programming and in-depth interpretation of machine programmer and operator manuals for every piece of equipment in our shop.
By age 16, I had advanced to Floor Manager and began learning Swiss programming. At 19, I left the family shop to broaden my industry exposure and expand my technical expertise.
Over the past 22 years, I have continued to refine my craft while sharing my knowledge nationwide, working with leading aerospace and medical manufacturers across America.
My most recent formal training was The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People course, completed two years ago, which further strengthened my leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
