I am writing to express my interest in the Mental health counselor internship position listed on Handshake. With a recent degree from the University of Michigan Flint in Psychology and Women's Studies, I am eager to bring my understanding of human behavior and social structures to your organization. Throughout my academic career, I gained experience in crisis intervention, qualitative research, and behavioral analysis.

These experiences encouraged me to combine psychological assessment with an intersectional perspective, helping ensure thoughtful support for people from many backgrounds. My Women's Studies coursework strengthened my advocacy and policy analysis skills. My senior thesis on disgust sensitivity and out-group judgment deepened my ability to interpret data and present findings clearly.

I am drawn to crisis intervention services because of their focus on expanding mental health access for children and families. I am confident that my background in psychology and advocacy aligns well with this role.
