Terra Plaisance is a seasoned executive and marketing professional with over a decade of leadership experience in community development, economic growth, and strategic marketing. As the current Executive Director of the Mosinee Area Chamber of Commerce, she serves as the organization’s chief administrator and public representative, driving local business initiatives, fostering partnerships among community stakeholders, and overseeing daily operations. Her leadership emphasizes collaboration, sustainable growth, and strong community engagement.
Previously, Terra served as a Community Development Specialist for the City of Wausau, where she played a key role in advancing redevelopment and economic initiatives, managing budgets and contracts, and coordinating with public and private partners to promote community vitality.
Alongside her civic leadership, Terra brings extensive marketing expertise through her past work as a Marketing Coordinator and has worked with non-profit organizations, other event coordinating, customer service and sales.
Terra holds an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from Northcentral Technical College and Chippewa Valley Technical College. Deeply involved in her community, she served as a Board Member and Treasurer for the Mosinee Chamber previous to taking the Executive Director position, and Board Secretary for GiGi’s Playhouse, supporting inclusive community programming.
