I've been doing predictive analytics for 40+ years. I wrote a neural network application from scratch in C in the 90s in grad school. I've modeled many things and automated many processes. When a new challenge arises, I am good at finding the appropriate analytical approaches and evaluated the best one for the current need.
In my 40+ year career, I've mostly done predictive analytics. I've done so much analytics and coding that I can take on any AI or automation project with confidence.
Some examples: 1) In graduate school in the mid 90s, I coded a neural network app from scratch in C and stored network data just like PyTorch does today. The app dynamically grew the architecture until an optimal training was achieved; 2) I automated an image defect tuning procedure that was costing my team two man weeks on each product using ML with extensive feature engineering; 3) I created a document matching machine that could find the closest matching document to a million documents in under 1 second; 4) most recently, I built the full stack for three AI apps using LLMs with real time RAG that reply to Outlook emails asking for quotes, and available freight, for shipping. I've been using Python and its modules for 24+ years.
My Ph.D. and M.S. were awarded from Texas A&M University in Mechanical Engineering. While there, I specialized in multi-physics modeling and controls system design, Code of, and modeling with, neural networks, and robot calibration.
