Toby Simmons

Hi, I'm Toby! I'm going into my last year at Oregon State University and I'm living in Hilo, HI for the summer with my uncle. I'm a highly motivated, energetic, and charismatic person. Some of my interests include camping/backpacking, fishing, basketball, and cooking.

I'm taking online classes this summer, therefore I'm looking for a part-time job particularly in the warehouse/moving area to make money for my tuition and get a workout in simultaneously! I've worked in a few restaurants, as well as maintenance jobs which have helped me become a quick learner and able to adapt to different working environments.

My job during the school year is at an upscale burger bar specializing in customized sauces and a wide variety of different options. I'm a line cook and proficient in knowing all of our different menu items as well as operating the grill, fryer, and line stations. This job has given me experience working together with a team to ensure the highest possible customer service. It's also helped me learn to work fast, improvise on the fly, and operate efficiently in a high-stress environment.

I'm currently entering my final year of a 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems. I hope to use this along with my personability and knowledge in computers/programming to find a job connecting the tech aspect to the business side in a medium-sized workplace.
