My education background is extensive, having earning dual engineering degrees (Biomedical and Electrical) in 4 years with high marks, and recently completing my law degree while working full time. I have been at national grid for nearly 8 years now, starting with system planning (working mostly on integrating novel distribution technology, like microgrids, DG, and other DERs), and working my way to the transmission side of the house where I now focus. I am currently a director in our Clean Energy Development team, where I combine my skills related to engineering (understanding the tech and benefits), law (engaging the regulator for funding and reporting), and salesmanship (stakeholder engagement and business development), surmounting challenges to get funding approval for billions in transmission for renewables (e.g.
CLCPA Phase 2 in NY). While I don’t have experience under the title “lawyer” yet, as I just passed my bar, I have extensive legal experience through my roles (for example, drafting testimony and responding to IRs in Rate Cases; completing annual regulatory reports; and drafting / negotiating contracts such as Energy Services Agreements with renewable developers).
I am particularly interested in pursuing roles in the middle east.
