I’m looking for a busy work atmosphere. My reward is getting the job done with 30 + years in the contract furniture industry, logistics, move management, facilities and personable customer service.
I am writing to express my interest in any administrative, facilities, logistics, move management position. Having dedicated more than 30 years to the contract furniture industry, including my current position with the Architect of the Capitol's Chief Security Office, one could say I have a passion for the industry.
I bring a proven background in research, procurement, logistical coordination and project management in fast-paced environments. In my previous roles I appreciated the ability to find through research what it meant to satisfy the customers’ needs. What began in customer service and promoted to the special-order team— researching an idea and finding manufacturers, assembly instructions, getting quotes for freight and installers—grew into a comprehensive knowledge for furniture-related projects.
In my current role, I oversee every stage of these projects for a government agency, from planning and purchasing through vendor coordination, buildout, and final installation. My responsibilities include understanding scopes to conceptual plan, RFQ submittals, managing subcontractors, scheduling, weekly status reports, tracking, approving invoices, and ensuring delivery within schedule and budget—skills that strongly align with the project documentation and coordination demands outlined in your job description. It’s a lot to take in but I enjoy it.
