Primary responsibilities include speaking with families and providing information and resources based on their unmet needs.
Provide support and empathy to the families and victims that come to the center. Help families being the healing process.
Assessing families and victims for risk and connecting them to the necessary resources.
Obtaining necessary information for intake and building rapport with families.
Working alongside MDT partners.
Completed internship consisting of 480 hours as I studied under the medical social worker of the Medical Team. The primary purpose of my internship was to gain insight of what it is like for social workers out in the field. I provided companionship to clients diagnosed with a terminal illness, and I extended that companionship and support to the client’s caregivers. Additionally, I worked alongside the office staff and completed various tasks.

Received Masters in Social Work from an accredited university- University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
