Currently pursuing my Master of Science in Data Science at the State University of New York at Albany (SUNY), NY. I have maintained a GPA of 3.66/4.0. My passion lies in the field of data analysis, and my ultimate goal is to become a skilled data analyst. During my undergraduate studies, I was recognized for developing a smart irrigation model based on soil moisture levels under different climate conditions, winning the award for the best hardware project at the "Smart India Hackathon."
In terms of work experience, I have served as a Program Analyst at Cognizant Technology Solutions in Hyderabad, India from 2021 to 2022. In this role, I developed test scripts using Eclipse and Selenium web driver methods in Java, collaborated with the management team to identify new test cases for a banking web page, and actively participated in automation testing using the Behavior-Driven Development Framework (BDD). I also engaged in regular scrum meetings, sprint planning meetings, and retrospective meetings to discuss project status and risks with teammates, team leads, and clients.
Additionally, I gained valuable experience as an intern at Smart Bridge Solutions, where I contributed to the "Smart Poly House" project and deepened my understanding of programming and object-oriented concepts. Moreover, during my internship at Cognizant, I received training in Java and web technologies while working on projects such as "Trip Package Automation" and "Calculate Trip Cost."
As an Automation Tester at Cognizant, I gained valuable experience in software testing, test script creation, and collaborative project management. With a focus on web application testing, I utilized Eclipse and Selenium WebDriver methods in Java to develop test scripts for various flows and requirements.
One of my key contributions was collaborating with the management team to identify and develop new test cases specifically designed for a banking web page. Through active participation in discussions with the development team, I ensured clear communication and understanding of defects and requirements.
I also had hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Behavior-Driven Development Framework (BDD), which allowed for effective test planning and execution. By leveraging BDD principles, I was able to align testing efforts with business objectives and enhance the overall quality of the web application.
As a proactive team member, I actively participated in daily Scrum meetings, Sprint planning meetings, Sprint review meetings, and retrospective meetings. Additionally, I took the initiative to draft numerous emails and plan sprint meetings, ensuring smooth coordination and efficient project management.
Throughout my tenure at Cognizant, I demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions. My experience in automation testing, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and active involvement in Agile methodologies have equipped me with the skills necessary to contribute to future projects in software testing and quality assurance.
As a dedicated data science student, I have gained extensive hands-on experience in data cleaning, analysis, and visualization using Python and Pandas. My passion for predictive modeling led me to work on projects like Solar Radiation Prediction, utilizing supervised and unsupervised machine learning for accurate forecasts. Additionally, I tackled crime rate prediction in Los Angeles, leveraging unsupervised learning and forecasting methods.
Throughout my journey, I immersed myself in data analysis and visualization of the Titanic dataset, solidifying my expertise. Armed with a profound understanding of data science principles, I am well-prepared to contribute to data-driven initiatives.
