The Disneyland Resort Hotels Are Affiliated with Local 501 Union Multitrades. I was hired as a Painter, but not limited to other responsibilities. Used hand tools, brushes, rollers, taping tools, power tools (sanders, sawzaws, grinders), and spray equipment (airless, HVLP, conventional and gravity feed) in performing work duties.
Framed studs; hung, taped and repaired drywall; repaired ceiling grid and ceiling tiles; performed PM guest room work; painted doors, frames and ceilings; repaired and replaced wallpaper. Worked from ladders and scaffolding, setting up and taking down safely and efficiently without disturbing guests. Knowledge and skills in surface preparation for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching and priming walls; caulking trim, interior and exterior doors and frames, windows and joints for multiple substrates.
Knowledge of paints and coatings, including primers, latex, oil, finishes in all sheens, lacquers, epoxies, varathane, and oil- and water-based stains. WELLS FARGO BANK - Interior painting of mechanical rooms. Pressure washed floors, applied etching material, primed and finished with two-part epoxy. Masked machinery and sprayed ceilings, walls, conduit, hot and cold pipes, and fire sprinklers with OSHA-approved colors from specifications for a showroom finish.
