As a Director of Research, I select and drive leading-edge emerging technology (ET) from feasibility to product adoption. I focus technology positioning on value creation through Science and Preclinical evidence generation. I excel in leading consultations with senior stakeholders, R&D, and supply chain teams, and then making recommendations based on research findings and product performance.
I create and implement functional strategies and provide technical leadership to multifunctional teams, ensuring data integrity, quality control, and protocol compliance. Throughout my career, I’ve been known to coordinate cross-functional teams and encourage the interchange of knowledge, information, ideas, and techniques.
As a Principal Research Engineer, I have a proven track record of delivering emerging technologies from initiation to design transfer. I am experienced in developing technology specifications and applications to products. I have a strong capability to solve complex technical problems using the Six Sigma methodology.
I have robust experience in scientific procedures and methods, spanning from preclinical studies (i.e., animal studies, simulation) to general benchtop tests (i.e., material characterization, mechanical test, chemistry) related to medical devices. I am considered an expert in materials research and development, and cemented and cementless fixation evaluation.

-3D printed Titanium porous structure and solid
-Acid etch enhancing CoCrMo bone cement adhesion
-Wet chemistry deposition of HA on CoCrMo for bone fixation
-Acid etch CoCrMo to generate microtexture for bone fixation
-Plasma sprayed HA coatings on dental implants/hip n knee devices
Procedures and standards: Test Methods Development, Gage R & R, Implant V & V, ASTM & ISO, and Chinese YY standards.
