Yahaira Rios, LCSW

Hi, I’m Yahaira. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting adults across community mental health, medical, veteran, and victim services settings. My background combines individual psychotherapy, CBT-based interventions, psychosocial and clinical assessment, treatment planning, case management, crisis intervention, care coordination, advocacy, and resource navigation.

In my clinical work, I provided individual CBT-based psychotherapy to adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma-related concerns, emotional dysregulation, and other complex behavioral health needs. I assessed client functioning, symptoms, safety, and progress; developed individualized treatment goals and interventions; and adapted approaches to support treatment needs.

I also bring more than three years of victim advocacy experience, supporting more than 4,000 crime victims through trauma-informed assistance, crisis support, advocacy, resource navigation, and legal processes. This experience strengthened my ability to listen, assess needs, communicate clearly, maintain confidentiality, and connect individuals with appropriate resources and support systems.

Throughout my career, I have worked collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, social workers, and other multidisciplinary providers. I value open communication, accurate documentation, continuity of care, and coordinated support.

I’m particularly interested in opportunities where I can apply my clinical social work, behavioral health, documentation, coordination, advocacy, and client-support experience.

I hold a Master of Social Work from University of Houston and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas.
