Dr.
Muthusamy is an artificial intelligence technologist and executive based in Allen, Texas, with more than thirty years of work across the field. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Oregon Graduate Institute, where his doctoral research centered on automatic language identification, a specialization in spoken-language AI that long predates the current wave of interest.
His career has moved between research labs and engineering organizations at Texas Instruments, Nokia, Samsung Research America, Toyota, and Immersion Corporation, where he served as Chief Technology Officer. In these roles he built and mentored technical teams, set technology strategy, and managed large patent portfolios. He holds seven U.S. patents and has published four book chapters, four journal articles, and twenty-five peer-reviewed conference papers.
Since founding Yeshvik Solutions in 2016, Dr. Muthusamy has focused on helping companies put AI to practical use. He has built generative AI applications with the OpenAI and LangChain APIs, designed retrieval-augmented chatbots on Microsoft Azure that prioritize factual accuracy over guesswork, and developed a machine learning model that predicts tire-tread depth with better than 93 percent accuracy on the safety-critical cases.
He also chairs the AI Working Group at the Government Blockchain Association, where he is leading a rewrite of a framework for evaluating the trustworthiness of AI systems.
A consistent thread in his work is translation: making AI understandable to the people who have to use it but did not build it. He created and taught “Generative AI for the Rest of Us,” a continuing-education course for executives and other non-technical professionals, and has run hands-on AI programs for entire company workforces. He was named to the Dallas Innovates 2025 AI 75, selected from more than 800 nominees.
