I am a graduate research assistant in the Kay Lab at the University of Utah. I am finishing up my Ph.D. in the Biochemistry department at the University of Utah. My current research involves making phage libraries, synthesizing D-proteins for phage display, and using these tools to conduct mirror-image phage display. With these efforts, we are trying to discover a D-peptide inhibiting SARS-CoV-2 entry.
I have extensive training in making and screening phage libraries, deep sequencing, peptide chemistry, RP-HPLC, and LCMS. I have been involved in projects looking for drug treatments for inflammatory bowel disease, shigellosis, and SARS-CoV-2. Don't hesitate to get in touch with questions me if you have any questions about my work, graduate school, or the University of Utah!
