Senior Java Developer

Location: Guadalajara, Mexico

Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, Software Engineers, and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, business-focused solutions.
Design and develop modern web applications using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, and Bootstrap.
Develop and integrate RESTful Web Services to support communication between web applications and backend services.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
Develop unit tests and automated tests to ensure solutions meet established quality standards.
Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, architectural guidelines, design patterns, and development best practices.
Participate throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including technical research, solution evaluation, proof-of-concept development, implementation, and deployment.
Partner with Product Management in developing product roadmaps and ensuring technical objectives and timelines are realistic and achievable.
Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to develop solution designs aligned with established architectural standards and guidance.

BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
10+ years of Java and J2EE development experience.
4+ years of front-end engineering experience using Angular, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS.
Strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, and ES6 JavaScript.
Experience with front-end development workflows and tools such as NPM.
Extensive experience developing Single-Page Applications (SPAs).
Strong understanding of the DOM (Document Object Model) and cross-browser compatibility.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
Experience implementing development best practices and design patterns, including Observables, application flow control, event handling, error handling, and AJAX.
Knowledge of SQL and experience with one or more RDBMS platforms.
Hands-on experience designing and developing Web Services, including REST and SOAP.
Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in fast-paced Agile development environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and creative problem-solving skills.
Experience with automated front-end testing tools such as Jasmine.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience developing cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
Minimum B2 English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

Experience with non-relational data stores and technologies such as Redis, Memcached, and Elasticsearch.
Experience with Continuous Integration and DevOps methodologies, best practices, and tools including Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
Experience designing and developing distributed systems and multi-threaded applications.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring JPA/Hibernate, and Spring Security.
Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and design patterns.
Experience with scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, and Shell scripting.
Experience mentoring junior software engineers and promoting engineering best practices across development teams.
