Java Developer

A TCS is seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to support an important global customer. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions, contributing to high-performance applications and ensuring system reliability in a dynamic Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.

Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.

Develop and maintain microservices-based architectures focused on scalability, security, and performance.

Participate in CI/CD processes, deployment activities, and release management to ensure efficient software delivery.

Monitor and support production environments, troubleshooting issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable solutions.

Collaborate closely with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams within Agile/Scrum delivery models.

Contribute to software design discussions, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and adherence to development standards.

Technical Requirements & Expertise

4 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development.

Strong expertise in Java and Spring Framework / Spring Boot.

Solid experience designing and developing Microservices architectures.

Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern DevOps methodologies.

Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting mission-critical applications.

Understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and backend best practices.

Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver effective solutions.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is considered a plus.
