Your role will involve developing scalable, intuitive, and data-centric applications that enhance field trial processes and improve in-field decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable web applications using ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot
• Build and refine microservices architecture aligned with RESTful API and HTTP principles
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to streamline user experiences and optimize system efficiency
• Design serverless architectures utilizing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and complementary AWS services
• Enable real-time data access and enhance application usability tailored to the needs of field scientists
• Write modular, clean-code solutions adhering to Java standards and industry best practices
• Ensure iterative delivery of software solutions by applying Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and focus on automation principles with tools such as GitLab, Docker, and Terraform
• Draft and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger to ensure clarity and consistency
• Apply TDD techniques, including unit, integration, and contract testing strategies, to ensure software quality
• Incorporate data quality assurance into designs, promoting accurate inputs and reference alignment
• Future-proof system designs to accommodate expanding data analytics capacities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Java development, specifically with Java 17+
• Expertise in Spring Boot and/or background in Quarkus development
• Proficiency in ReactJS and React Query for creating responsive user interfaces
• Competency in RESTful APIs and microservice architectures grounded in HTTP principles
• Knowledge of AWS serverless solutions, including DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, and containerized services
• Understanding of SQL and non-relational database systems
• Showcase of clean coding techniques and modular application design
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes, GitLab, and Agile/Scrum workflows
• Proficiency in TDD with established practices for unit, integration, and contract testing
• Capability to create detailed, standards-based API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger
• Flexibility to work with Terraform, Docker, and other DevOps technologies
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English (B2 level)

Nice to have

• Understanding of advanced CI/CD customization techniques
• Familiarity with OpenLayers for visualizing geospatial data
