During my time at the company, I helped modernize a development workflow that had traditionally relied heavily on manually written static HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. As project scale increased, this approach created several challenges, including inconsistent page versions, differences in shared sections and styles, high costs associated with repetitive modifications, and increasingly difficult maintenance of large HTML structures. To address these issues, I gradually introduced a component-based development approach by extracting shared sections across multiple pages into reusable components.
This allowed the team to maintain a more consistent page structure and styling system while reducing duplicated development effort. I also independently developed a custom build tool that automatically transformed component templates into static HTML and CSS compatible with clients' existing systems. This enabled us to adopt a more modern development workflow without requiring changes to the original deployment architecture.
When clients requested content or layout changes, modifications could be made at the component level and the corresponding static pages regenerated automatically, significantly reducing repetitive template updates and the risk of inconsistencies across page versions. Because the company primarily worked on temple and cultural website projects, CMS platforms frequently required the creation of large datasets and HTML pages for collections such as 60-lot or 100-lot traditional fortune-drawing systems. Previously, customer service or content management staff had to manually create and update each entry one by one.
This process was time-consuming and prone to data-entry errors, duplicate updates, incorrect page mappings, and human fatigue caused by repetitive operations. To improve this workflow, I utilized the existing Node.js backend API and independently developed looping and batch-processing logic specifically for 60-lot and 100-lot data structures. I then built automated publishing and batch-update tools that allowed developers to prepare fortune-drawing content and HTML templates in a structured format and automatically create or update the corresponding records through the API.
This replaced much of the repetitive manual data-entry process, significantly reducing human error and improving the efficiency of large-scale content publishing and maintenance.
