Abalobi SolutionsWe are looking for an experienced Senior Back-End Developer to join a global technology environment and play a key role in designing, developing, and operating scalable, cloud-native applications.
The ideal candidate will have 10 years of production experience in backend software development, with strong expertise in Java, microservices, distributed systems, AWS, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, REST APIs, databases, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automated testing. Experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, and event-driven architectures will be highly advantageous.

Familiarity with Microservices Architecture, Cloud-native solutions, and Container Architecture.
10 years production experience in backend software development using one or more of:
JavaScript / TypeScript / Node.js
Experience designing, developing, and operating distributed systems and cloud-native applications.
Experience with cloud technologies (Amazon AWS is strongly preferred):
API Gateway, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, OpenSearch, RDS, S3 etc.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Experience with Databases both Sql and NoSql
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub actions preferred)
Experience with automated deployment and configuration of systems and components.
Experience with monitoring, observability, and log analytics.
RESTful API design and implementation
Strong experience with automated testing practices, including:
End-to-End Testing
Experience working within Agile and Scrum environments.
Experience with Apache Kafka and Kafka Streams
Experience designing and implementing event-driven solutions
Experience with Design and Evaluation of Efficient Algorithms (Complexity Theory)
Experience with Performance Testing and Tuning
Experience designing and implementing event-driven solutions

Design, develop, deploy, and operate production-ready business applications. (24/7 Support)
Liaise with customer, team members and external vendors

Develop systems solutions in line with quality and delivery requirements.
Identify risks / impediments, proactively resolve and/or escalate to the relevant parties.
Comply with Code Compliance & Unit Testing standards and practices.
Prepare system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards).
Pro-active knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching of members from the same or other teams.

Relevant IT Degree or equivalent experience
Cloud Certifications (Developer Associate minimum, Professional preferred)
