Electrical Engineer (Junior – High Voltage / Grid Systems)

An established organization within the power transmission and national grid environment is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer with up to 3 years’ experience to join their technical engineering team.

Duties & Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and analyze high‑voltage transmission and distribution systems
• Assist with substations, transformers, switchgear, and grid connections
• Perform load flow, fault level, and network studies
• Support grid stability, reliability, and system performance

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (completed within 4 years)
• 0–3 years relevant electrical engineering experience
• Exposure to power systems, substations, or high‑voltage networks
• Strong analytical and technical problem‑solving skills

ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduates from UP, NWU, Wits, UJ, or TUT will be advantageous
