About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate Intermediate Software Developer (L2) team. You’ll collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure our team meets the deliverables and do full Life-Cycle application. We are seeking a developer who thrives in a fast-paced agile environment. This is a full-on-site vacancy situated in Centurion.

Duties & Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, coding, unit testing, and documentation of software components and features.
- Work with the software engineering team to meet deliverables & do full lifecycle application development
- Receive instructions and guidance from mentor regarding required tasks and expected results.
- Fully embedded in fast-paced software agile development teams. Participate in sprint planning, demos, and daily scrum activities.
- Reports on progress on a daily basis or as required
- Extract and reverse engineer existing code, Participate in software modeling and simulation
Desired Experience & Qualification
Mandatory Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other comparable engineering degree
Technical Skills:
Mandatory Tech Skills
- 3-5 years of experience working on PHP
- 3-5 years of experience using Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Node.js
- Hands on with experience on Web Services using REST, JSON
- Experience developing web applications (Spring MVC, RESTful, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, Web Services)
- Familiarity with Micro-services Architecture
- Experience using databases
- Solid experience in design, coding, unit testing and debugging
- Experience working in Agile development environment
Preferred Tech Skills
- Experience with front-end technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, AngularJS is a plus
- AWS cloud development experience is a plus. Experience in building components and using various AWS services.
- Experience working on enterprise-ready container platforms like Docker
- Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Pipeline, Junit, SonarQube etc)
- Advanced understanding of Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns and UML
