Project Engineer

Are you a technically strong Project Engineer with experience managing complex engineering projects from planning through to successful completion? This opportunity is ideal for a driven engineering professional who enjoys leading project teams, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Manage engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from planning and design review to implementation and final handover
• Coordinate project activities and ensure deliverables are completed according to scope, budget, and schedule requirements
• Review engineering documentation and technical packages prior to execution
• Break projects into manageable work packages and oversee implementation activities
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and engineering standards
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective project execution
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams throughout project delivery
• Lead project meetings and communicate project progress to relevant stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve project delivery processes and systems
• Support project administration, reporting, invoicing, and documentation requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Engineering role
• Experience managing industrial engineering projects from concept through implementation
• Strong understanding of project planning, procurement, construction, and project execution principles
• Proven experience leading project teams and coordinating contractors and stakeholders
• Ability to review technical designs and engineering documentation
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously

Qualification:

• BTech or BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• SAQCC Designer Category C certification is essential
