Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Indicative range: $85,000 – $140,000 (USD equivalent), plus benefits.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Python Game Developer to build games, simulations, or game tooling in Python. The role combines Python craft with games-specific work — shipping clean, maintainable systems that designers and engineers love to build on.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain game features, tools, and backend systems in Python
• Develop game logic, simulation systems, or AI behaviours
• Build internal tools and pipelines for designers and content creators
• Integrate Python systems with engine, server, or web components
• Diagnose and resolve bugs across the game stack
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to engineering practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years building production Python applications, ideally in games or simulation
• Strong Python skills, including async, performance optimisation, and packaging
• Experience with game frameworks (Pygame, Panda3D, Ren'Py) or Python in larger engines (Maya, Blender, Unreal)
• Familiarity with game backends, multiplayer systems, or simulation engines is a plus
• Comfort with version control, testing, and CI workflows

• Solid software engineering fundamentals
