We're recruiting on behalf of a leading defence and security technology company looking for an experienced and driven Software Engineer to join their high-performance engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a safety-critical, embedded software environment where precision, compliance, and innovation come together.

Duties & Responsibilities

Job & Company Description:

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for taking products through the RTCA 178C software development lifecycle, including planning, requirements definition, design, development, verification, validation, and project wrap-up. You will analyse system-level requirements and translate them into high-level software requirements, develop embedded and application-level source code, and participate in integration activities including defect investigation and resolution.

This role also includes writing and reviewing V-Model documentation, creating test cases to evaluate requirements, and providing technical leadership within a small SCRUM-based team.

Job Experience &

Skills Required

5+ years’ experience in software development
Strong C/C++ development experience
Experience in a safety-critical software environment
Embedded operating systems experience
Strong requirements analysis and technical documentation skills
Experience in a military environment (advantageous)

Qualification

BEng (Computer Engineering) or BSc equivalent
