Every situation,every day,is different,that is what excites me,motivates me and keeps me interested.
I have a marketing diploma,which no doubt has helped me.
But my experience as a bookmaker,I owned two betting premises for over 10 years and in fact started working as a clerk on the racecourses in Cape Town at age 15,has given me a wealth of working knowledge in the sports betting industry,observing and learning about my customers and how to satisfy their betting needs,and making them feel like a winner,even when they lose!
It always came easy to me.
Along with the knowledge I attained working in the insurance industry as a customer Liason manager in a call centre,I'm perfectly equipped to work in an online gaming environment.
As I understand the intricacies of horseracing and sports betting,I'm used to the obstacles that these industries face.
Football games don't always last 90minutes,and objections in racing can cause frustrating delays to customers expecting payouts.
And mother nature can cause havoc to any sports schedule or managers shift roster.
I'm a team player,who is used too these delays and my shift ends when the game is over,and bets are settled.
I'd much rather be at work on Boxing day watching cricket,and have spent my Saturdays on a racecourse since a teenager,and don't have family to answer too,so shift work suits me.
I'm articulate,precise,conscientious and polite,am bilingual and proficient in both English and Afrikaans,and respectful and patient when dealing with any customer.
Key traits that one has to have when dealing with customers, especially when large amounts of money are won and lost in seconds.
I'm conscientious, punctual,have a good sense of humour,tidy,hardworking and enjoy a challenge.
I enjoy planning and managing but can follow instructions and work in a team.
I'm goal driven and get satisfaction when goals are reached and targets met.
To sum it all up,no matter what situation I'm in,I never give up,and I try until I succeed.
