I am a legal professional who has since completed her articles at Adams and Adams. I have gained experience in various areas of law, including personal injury and medical negligence, commercial litigation, corporate commercial departments, and trademark litigation. I skillfully draft various legal documents, including but not limited to court pleadings, correspondence, affidavits, memoranda, pre-trial minutes, legal opinions, and legal briefs.

The opportunity afforded to me to rotate to different teams within the firm has equipped me with strategic thinking skills and the ability to adapt to the team-specific style of writing and processes, which I think are incredible skills to have for future roles. Presently I am up-skilling myself to meet the demands of technological skills in the world of work, I have completed a Legal Innovation Accelerator by the LITT Institute, which was designed to equip me with the strategic mindset and cutting-edge tools needed to navigate the evolving legal landscape. Additionally, I am learning how to code through SheCodes an online platform and coding workshop series designed to teach women how to code and pursue careers in technology.

From January 2022 to January 2024, I served as a Candidate Attorney at Adams & Adams in Pretoria. During this time, my responsibilities included arranging and participating in consultations with counsel and clients, drafting a variety of legal documents such as opinions, contracts, and correspondence, and rotating through different teams within the firm to develop strategic thinking skills and adaptability. I conducted legal research, attended court hearings, and instructed counsel to appear in the High Court.

Additionally, I consulted with clients, provided advice based on their instructions, interpreted and applied court directives, and managed administrative tasks related to the practice, including file management. Overall, I gained comprehensive experience in various aspects of legal practice and demonstrated proficiency in client interaction, legal drafting, and court proceedings.

I hold a Bachelor of Law (NQF8) from the University of Pretoria.
