Hi there,

I am a thirty-year old Canadian who as a Registered Nurse on Adult ICU and Pediatric units, along with working as the Clinical Site Coordinator at the Royal Jubilee Hospital & Victoria General Hospital in British Columbia. I am incredibly adaptable, compassionate, and like to continuously challenge myself and grow with new experiences.

Experience

Clinical Site Coordinator 2020 – Present

I am responsible for the overall clinical operations and administrative management of the site during and after hours and on weekends. I report to the Site Director as I support the various units/programs/services in contingency planning implementation related to patient care, staffing, patient placement and bed utilization.

Intensive Care Registered Nurse 2018 – Present In this role I deliver vital care to seriously ill or injured patients in the ICU department. I perform a range of tasks, monitoring patient recovery, and responding to medical emergencies. This role requires a highly-analytical mindset, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pediatric Registered Nurse 2019 – Present

As a pediatric nurse I provide health care for children from birth through their late teens while working with the family to address their concerns, fears, problems, and options. In this position I am a child advocate, determine child’s needs, and identify abnormal findings. I evaluate a child for signs and symptoms of abuse, administer medication using age-appropriate guidelines, and Analyze situations to anticipate pathophysiological problems and detect changes in status.

Throughout my nursing career I have also worked general medicine, complex thoracic, vascular, & gastrointestinal surgery, detox, & community.

Prior to my Bachelor of Science I worked as a lifeguard, social worker, & in Mexico as a private school English teacher.
