I have over 10 years experience in Clinical Research, as a team member and as a Principal Investigator. Currently I am studying towards a Masters in Epidemiology and I own a GP practice in Durban. I am goal-oriented, work smart and hard.
I enjoy leading a team and work well as a team player. My research interests are within mental health, social determinants of health and functional medicine. I am passionate about uplifting the disadvantaged populations within South Africa.
I hope to make a difference with my work.
After my internship and community service with the KZN department of health, I worked for the South African Medical Research Council HIV Prevention Research Unit full time from 2007 to 2017. I left Research to work in my GP practice and to pursue further studies. I later rejoined the Medical Research Council HIV Prevention Research Unit from 2021 to 2022. I left Research work in 2022 due to personal family obligations, and I am currently running my GP practice in Durban.
