For the LWRS and SE the main focus is to establish a Manufacturing Base Line by concluding the development stage. During this stage the design was influenced to address manufacturability.

In this regard a Manufacturing Bill Of Materials (MBOM) was established, generate assembly instructions and stages based on a manufacturing schedule. This also implies distilling tests to be done during the manufacturing process as well as a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) after completion of manufacturing.

As system engineer contributed to ensuring that all lifecycle aspects of microwave (RF) products for Electronic Warfare System development are addressed during the following stages in the product life cycle: Full scale development, Industrialisation, Manufacturing, Product and support. During the full-scale development stage, contributed to influencing design to be cognisant of manufacturing impacts in order to enhance the ease of assembly during production runs. This entailed reviewing products down to component and materials level, then escalating to establishing a MBOM, assembly instructions and schedules, as well as distilling test procedures for each assembly stage where necessary.

Also contributed to establishing a test bench to be used during product testing and stress screening after assembly. Where necessary bespoke jigs were designed for testing and for ease of manufacturing. During the industrialisation phase the assembly work stations were established, test equipment, special tools, and jigs were obtained.

As a systems engineer had two focus areas, the first was to establish a manufacturing baseline on the AV8 project. The second was to address the effects of obsolescence in the artillery systems provided by DLS namely the G5, G6 and bateleur products systems. The AV8 project was under contract from the Malaysian military and entailed integrating a weapons system on a turret that was designed at DLS with the PARS vehicle from FNSS in Turkey.

To this end mechanical design activities had to be concluded and qualified, target engagement systems design had to be concluded and qualified, command and control (battle management, communications) systems design. Then integration and testing of the full turret integrated with the vehicle and gun drive systems. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the project had to mobilise technical teams (mechanical, hardware and software) and execute the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) to integrate and test the weapons system integrated onto the PARS 8x8 vehicle. 24 systems were delivered during this time.

This project relied heavily on principles of concurrent engineering, where several weapons systems were delivered before the MBL was finalise
