Household Aid (Medi guard - Contract Worker) - Vincent Pallotti hospital
Execute household tasks in order to ensure a clean, hygienic and safe environment.
- Assist with the cooking in the kitchen
- Assist with implementing the everyday menu
- Help with dishing up of foods
- Responsible for the preparation of meals
- Responsible for general cleaning of the kitchen, hostels and wards
- Responsible for the care of linen in the area and serving of meals to patients
- Assist with ordering and control of cleaning and household items and equipment
- Render assistance to the supervisor with general housekeeping duties, neatness and hygiene of hostel/department
- Render assistance to supervisor to control workers in the same shift
- My task includes, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping of floors, dusting, polishing of floors and furniture, emptying bins daily, cleaning of windows, light shades, walls and all toilets, packing of dirty linen for laundry and handling, transportation and disposal of medical and domestic waste generated in the hospital
- Ensure that cleaning equipment e.g. polishing, and scrubbing machines, mops, brooms and buckets are clean after use and securely stored
