Aniqa Johnson

I am a HPCSA Registered Counsellor. I have a BPsych Degree (Honours) from The South African College of Applied Psychology.

Formal training completed at Groote Schuur's Adolescent Centre of Excellence and Kuils River's Hope House Counselling Centre. I have counselled clients from all ages and backgrounds, facilitated groups, provided workshops, mindfulness and employee wellness.

I have a passion for counselling and my main priority is to provide a safe space for all my clients while they reach their counselling goals.

I am currently in Private Practice, providing one-on-one sessions to individuals of all ages and employee wellness to businesses.

I am currently registered as a Registered Counselor with the HPCSA. I am currently practicing under my own private practice: Aniqa Johnson Counselling. I work with all ages and backgrounds but have a passion for the work surrounding mental health in connection to Children/Adolescents.

I obtained a BPsych Degree (Honours) at The South African College of Applied Psychology. A prerequisite to obtain this degree includes the completion of a minimum of 720 practicum hours – 300 hours being client engagement. During my honours (final) year of study I completed a full year of practicum experience with 916 hours accumulated, which included 343 client engagement hours, during 2022.

I gained working experience at two practicum sites, Hope House and Ace Youth Hub (Groote Schuur), where I worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
