About
I am a passionate and dedicated musician and music educator with over eight years of experience in teaching, performance, and accompaniment. My main instrument is piano, and throughout my musical career I have competed in and won numerous national and international music competitions, debuted new piano works, and performed as a soloist with multiple orchestras. I have taught piano students at a range of levels, from complete beginners through to Grade 8 and competition level.
I have prepared students for Trinity examinations, eisteddfods, concerts, and competitions, while focusing on developing strong technical foundations, musical understanding, and confidence. I enjoy working with students at different stages of their musical development and adapting my approach to suit their individual needs, abilities, and goals. My experience as an accompanist has allowed me to work extensively with instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs for examinations, masterclasses, eisteddfods, competitions, and performances.
Most recently, I accompanied a choir at the International Africa and Asia Pacific Choir Games in 2025, where the choir won both categories in which they competed. I have also accompanied choirs at the ATKV Applous Choir Competition. These experiences have strengthened my ability to prepare thoroughly, work effectively with ensembles, and perform confidently under pressure.
In addition to my piano skills, I have experience playing the violin and clarinet and am currently preparing for my Grade 4 Trinity Voice examination. I am passionate about continuing to develop my own skills as a musician and enjoy exploring different areas of music. I currently serve as the Junior Choir accompanist and Senior Choir conductor at Bellpark Primary School.
In this role, I am involved in selecting and preparing repertoire, helping learners learn their vocal parts, conducting rehearsals and performances, and supporting the musical development of young singers. This has given me the opportunity to further develop my leadership, communication, teaching, and conducting skills. I am commited to continue developing as both a musician and educator and to take on opportunities that allow me to learn, contribute, and grow.
I bring a strong work ethic, reliability, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in continuing to develop the skills of young and aspiring musicians.
