Project Coordinator at eThekwini Municipality - Public Employment Programme (PEP) (2024-01 – Present)

• Managed a 30-person field operations unit (3 supervisors, 4 team leaders, 23 general workers), overseeing daily service delivery, performance, and task allocation across Ward 60 (Verulam).
• Led and coordinated municipal service delivery interventions under Operation Good Hope, aligning multiple departments (water & sanitation, electricity, waste management, compliance) to resolve community-level infrastructure and service issues.
• Implemented structured fault identification and reporting systems, ensuring timely logging and escalation of issues, including sewage leaks, water pipe failures, electrical faults, and by-law violations.
• Oversaw and optimised call logging and issue tracking processes, improving response coordination between field teams and municipal departments.
• Directed large-scale community clean-up and maintenance operations, including waste removal, vegetation control, and environmental upkeep across high-need areas.
• Acted as a key liaison between municipal departments and local communities, ensuring service delivery priorities were aligned with on-the-ground needs.

Research and Policy Analyst at AfricaBio (2022-01 – 2023-12)

• Supported the planning and delivery of the BIO Africa Convention (2022 & 2023), a leading continental biotechnology and health innovation event attended by 1,000+ delegates, 200+ students, government representatives, investors, researchers, startups, sponsors, and international partners from all over Africa and the world.
• Coordinated stakeholder engagement, programme development, speaker management, and logistics for a 5-day international convention featuring multiple tracks, panel discussions, plenaries, startup showcases, and innovation forums.
• Researched and developed programme content, website content, speaker biographies, panel profiles, social media communications, and stakeholder engagement materials.
• Co-managed accommodation, catering, registration, and travel arrangements for 200+ postgraduate students and contributed to the development of student-focused entrepreneurship and innovation programmes.
• Supported the development and operational delivery of the Startup Pavilion, including exhibitor research, sponsorship coordination, pricing analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
• Assisted in the planning and delivery of approximately 10 annual webinars focused on health innovation, biotechnology, bioentrepreneurship, and diversity in clinical trials.
