About
This CV serves as a document to give a short introduction of myself as I intend to show interest in the PIT: Mine Surveyor job offer as advertised. The reason why I have chosen to pursue Mine Surveying is because of an inspiration I received from my late father. He used to work at a certain mine in Witbank as a metallurgist.
He inspired me into pursuing a career in mining and being passionate about mining, because I really looked up to him. I have always been a person who loves going for challenging things because I am a hard worker. The reason behind me working hard is because hard work brings me satisfaction and great confidence in the success of what I am doing.

Senior Mine Surveyor - Kolomela Mine
(2026-03)
- Staking of blast blocks and geological boreholes.
- Staking of haul roads, misfires and daily production surveys.
- Scanning of faces of the pit and benches to create point clouds.
- Measuring the pit floors and mine infrastructure.
- Calculating mine production tonnages to measure the progress of the mine excavation.
- Software competency in MicroStation, LP360, Cloud Compare, and Maptek.
- Monitoring dumps, mine excavations, pits, stockpiles and mine haul roads by flying drones.
